It's been a wonderful, busy, full week and no doubt, y'all know exactly what I'm talking about. Around here, everyone is headed home, so it's fitting that I have a little something to enjoy as we share about our day, week, and upcoming plans.
I learned a long time ago - "don't save the good stuff" for special events.
So, on weekends, I make a dip or hot appetizer, put out good crackers, fruits and veggies. There are always fun, colorful napkins and small plates so you can taste a little bit of everything.
This evening, I had sliced Gouda cheese, cool grapes, carrots, crackers and veggie cream cheese spread.
That advice, I got a long time ago is true..."don't save the good stuff" is true. It doesn't matter if it's chips, dip or peanuts - it's about showing you care and taking time to welcome everyone home. I love that my guys have come to love this tradition of slowing down, sharing a little something tasty & it's really nice they understand that good conversation is an important part of life.
Happy Friday ~ Cheers!
There are so many Friday nights after a busy week, that we have "snack night" for dinner. Cheese/Crackers/fruit/olives, whatever is hanging out in the fridge. It's so relaxing to sit at the coffee table instead of the dining room table and mince.
