Friday Recipes and Favorites

It's been a great week here although a little crazier than normal usual.  We've been prepping for next Monday, the first day of school plus there's been lot's of organizing and rounding up of schedules for the fall.  I hope you've had a chance to check out the recipes I posted this week and here's a few other special things that caught my eye...

Everybody knows that peeling a tomato can be just down right frustrating!  It doesn't matter if you are making yourself a yummy sandwich, sauce, canning or freezing, you've got to know the right way to handle these beauties.  This is a great post from The Kitchn, so now there are no excuses.

I had to include 2 recipe links from special friends of mine.  Both of the great cooks had their recipes featured in this month's issue of Southern Living, so I thought it appropriate to give them a little more love.  Congratulations Robin and Jess!

Last is my find of the week - 2 antique Mason jars with metal screw tops.  I picked them up along with a couple of other goodies at one of my favorite shops, Design Archives, here in Greensboro.  If you are ever over this way, make sure you stop by, say hello to Kit and tell her A Southern Soul sent you.

Have a wonderful weekend everybody!
