It's time to start hitting the books again and we've got open house at the boys schools tonight. So, I thought it best to get fortified for the events. If you are not from the South, you probably don't know what Cheerwine is and I am so sorry. It's absolutely wonderful with flavors of cherry & cola syrup with lots and lots of bubbles. This drink is made right down the road from me and is know as the "Nectar of North Carolina." Mix it up with some vanilla ice cream, add few extra cherries and you've got something good going on. Here's to a great school year, friends!
2 to 3 maraschino cherries
Vanilla ice cream
Cheerwine Soda
1 to 2 straws
- Place cherries in bottom of glass. Top with scoops of ice cream.
- Slowly pour Cheerwine over ice cream.
- Top with another cherry.
- Slide straw into glass...ENJOY!

my husband is originally from Salisbury, NC and moved to Maryland after we got engaged. Luckily for him, two Wegman's grocery stores opened near where we live in MD a few years ago and they sell it. Not sure if you have Wegman's up in Boston, but check it out if you do! Good luck!
DeleteThis sounds sooo good!! I went and found out that you can actually buy Cheerwine on line...
